O-H-I-O

Wow what can I say we've only lived here three weeks and we love it!  We haven't ventured out further than about a 10 mile radius, but who needs to when there's such wonderful things all around us...
cool, friendly neighbors, every store I've ever wanted just a short five minute drive, kids' camps, the zoo, the best pool we've ever been to (according to our kids) and of course our beautiful new home.  Even with all that I can say I can't wait to explore the great city of Columbus a bit more very soon.  We've got a zoo pass (courtesy of our fabulous realtor), a gigantic lake a few minutes from our house with a beach area for humans and dogs, and of course the beautiful downtown area.  We plan to take many stay-cations this summer and explore the heck out of our new home.  Of course we've also got lots of fun home improvement plans in the works as well.....

It all began back in May after a whirlwind of a few days driving to Ohio via Virginia....Picking up Theo and seeing Sofia one more time.  Our move went very smoothly and on June 1 all of our household goods were delivered.  Within a few days most of the rooms were unpacked and we'd already met five really nice families.  Nana came for a visit the next week and we enjoyed the Zoo and a few shopping areas.  The kids started summer swim team and have already competed in three meets.

Everyone is enjoying the new house especially Cleo the cat...she spent the first few days exploring all the new hiding areas and enjoys watching our pet bunnies that hang out on the back patio every morning.  She also spends some of her time in her gigantic half moon shaped window on our east facing wall.

As if things couldn't get any better we were able to share our first few weeks in our home with some very dear ole Air Force friends.  We were stationed in Texas with the May's and they stopped in over the weekend to see us on their way back to NC.  Our kids hanging out and having a nerf gun battle.

We also celebrated Theo's 7th birthday in June.

Besides running kids to swim team and camps I've been busy painting and hanging pictures just trying to get the house together.  We've done a few small projects and hope to paint the family room, front door, and put down wood in the dining room area.  More pictures to come as we get settled into our new life.

Have a great summer everyone and of course if you're in the area please stop on in!!
