Our family has moved around a lot in the last 10 years, and during that time we have always been far from family; so we have always found friends to fill that empty space in our heart. Once again we are making another change-- one that we hope will move us closer to our families-- and again we are leaving behind yet another group of fantastic friends. Over the years we have met the most amazing, warm people and they have always opened their homes and their hearts to us. Through our adventures we have stumbled upon a few lifelong friends. Every place we've lived has given us another friendship to nurture once we move on. Sometimes it's just through emails (blogs now), but sometimes there's an occasional phone call or even a visit. When we speak to or visit these friends it's always as though we never left--we always pick up right where we left off.
This post is dedicated to our "lifelong friends" the ones we still think of, reminisce about, and occasionally pick-up the phone and chat with.

Can I just copy your post and place on my page? You have such a great way with words...very nicely written.
We need to do some "strategic" planning for your return visits to check on the house. Maybe every third Wednesday of the month?
