A Walk Through Alburtis, Pennsylvania

In Salt Lake City.

One of the beautiful, old homes in Alburtis.
Old railroad near the furnace.
Alburtis Furnace

Well it was a warm 50 degrees today so we got out of the house and explored our new town, by foot. We started across the street at Lockridge Park, it's an old furnace, and the reason that Alburtis was born back in the late 1800's. We explored the grounds and walked past the stone buildings. We also checked out the stream that is stocked with trout each year. The Furnace is open May-September for tours as well.
Then we headed into the "downtown area" on Main Street. We checked out the local convenience store/deli and got a snack and then walked passed the few shops. A realtor, and art gallery, gift store and restaurant/tavern. Afterwards, we walked passed the swimming pool and then went to Josie's school and played on the playground for a bit. It was a nice afternoon and we look forward to walks around town and warm weather. We took some pictures so check them out. The kids and I had fun on the map of the U.S.A. and all stood on the places we were born/lived. Enjoy!!
