good friends...Schools out so we hit the road for our first of many road trips planned for Summer 2009.
The kids and I just spent a fun-filled week in Charlotte, NC packed full of places to see and things to do. Thanks to our hostess and tour leader extraordinaire Rebecca Rush, one of my closest friends from college, our adventure will never be forgotten by Josie and Will. Yes, Rebecca has set the bar very high for any summertime fun that follows.
Whilst there we were spotted at an exotic animal farm, roadside farmer's market, the YMCA outdoor water park, Fiesta indoor playground, Reed's Gold Mine and Mert's Heart and Soul Food.
We hopped back and forth across the Charlotte and South Carolina borders and spent some time by Lake Wylie and also saw Lake Norman both beautiful areas to spend a lazy summer day.
We missed Ernie so decided to head back on Friday and stopped off at Jim and Nick's BBQ and picked up some brisket and ribs to carry home to Ernie.
After a fantastic week spent I had to pry my little ones feet and hands from Rebecca's beautifully decorated breakfast table to begin our 10 hour drive back to PA.

It was an awesome week, wasn't it? I really enjoyed spending time with you and getting to know the kids a little better, they are so wonderful! Our life is such a bore here without you!
