We were lucky enough to get to spend a week at Ocean City, Maryland thanks to Ernie's parents and their generosity. Our home for the week was a two bedroom/2 bath condo on the 17th floor with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. We spent every morning at the beach building sand castles, searching for seashells and boogie boarding on the waves. Josie really liked playing in the sand and searching for sea shells and the animals that lived inside of them, while Will was our little surfer dude. He loved surfing the waves with his shark boogie board. Our budding scientist Josie discovered the little animals that live inside of the small clam looking shells and found numerous soft shell crabs.
Our first activity off the water was putt-putt golf and shopping at the Croc outlet. Every evening we spent poolside to cool off after our long days. Drinks by the pool while the kids swam was a nice way for Ernie and I too spend some quality time together. We had a very nice lunch at a popular locals spot called Catch 54...the food and the ambiance was wonderful. We ate lunch while overlooking the marina on the Delaware Bay. On a final evening in OC we took the kids to the boardwalk for some fries and arcade time. Josie brought home seashells and Will a shark tooth necklace as reminders of their fun-filled week by the shore.
