Gingerbread Houses and Chicken Wings

We took a tour of the village of Macungie at their annual holiday celebration. There was a lot on the agenda trolley rides, Victorian House tours, a gingerbread house contest, musical performances at the local church and lots of other fun, festive ways to spend a beautiful December Saturday.

We made it in the nick of time to browse the Gingerbread House contest and were amazed at the very detailed and creative homes on display. Afterwards we walked through Kambauch Park (Theo's favorite walking spot) and then had chicken wings and pizza at our favorite joint, Salvatore's. Will discovered a love for chicken wings and licking his fingers. We finished our day with a visit to Emmaus' town square to see their giant tree. Here's a pictorial walk through our memorable afternoon. Its days like this that make us really feel thankful to be in Pennsylvania.
