Air Force Academy vs. Naval Academy game last weekend and it was so much fun. I don't mean just the tailgating, but that was fun too. We really enjoyed the game, it was a nail biter and AFA pulled it out in overtime (34-35).
third quarter after a few beers and mimosas!
Our Friends the Lebrun's
Annapolis, MD
We also spent the evening in Annapolis strolling through the quaint streets of the cute old town. We also visited The Black Dog store and determined that our black dog could so be the next mascot.
As for everyday normal things....
The kids are enjoying school and bringing home super high marks. Josie loves violin and being a part of the East Penn SD orchestra...they practice every Wednesday. She also tried out and was selected for the hand bell choir. She's looking forward to her Christmas concerts where she will be playing violin, singing in the 5th grade choir and playing hand bells. Will is taking a LEGO class based on the STEM method and has learned to make a conveyor belt and a turn stile with the LEGO motor and gear box. Below are a few of his latest creations based on Cool City.

Josie can also be found running up and down the Emmaus field hockey field with her stick and ball in hand. She's playing for the second year and is really quite good. They scrimmaged last week with the Oley, PA team and played really hard.
And as if life isn't hectic enough...
The first day of school we discovered kittens in our backyard. After some googling and with the help of the animal shelter where we rescued Theo. We successfully trapped and spayed a mama cat and found her kittens a home. We got to take care of the mama cat for a week after her surgery and the kittens for about three days. It was like having a newborn in the house again...those kittens were cute, but I was glad to send them to their forever home. Yes, I can now add cat trapper to my ongoing list of job titles.
Theo and Cleo are the ones who found the kittens!
Right after we trapped them.
