An Ode to Rainbows

Nine years...I can't believe we welcomed our beautiful daughter into this world nine years ago today at 9:27 p.m. When they say time flies they weren't kidding.  We watched her grow from a small helpless baby into a very curious toddler and now into a pretty young lady.  We have a lot to be thankful for and cherish all the moments we have with Josie.

Josie had a fun-filled busy day--besides turning one year older she also starred in her very first piano recital.  She's been studying the piano for 13 months and plays beautifully.  Her great-grandmother Margot Kennedy predicted it herself the first time she met Josie she said she was going to be a pianist because she had such long fingers...luckily she was able to enjoy Josie's recital today.

Grandma, Mimi and Papi and Aunt Patty came to visit us from Virginia for the day to help celebrate Josie's big day.  Needless to say she had quite the fan club on the front row during her recital.  One of the songs she played today is one of my favorites, Ode to Joy.

Afterwards, we enjoyed rainbow cupcakes and Grandma had her very own chocolate cake since her birthday is on March 30.  It was a great day that I'm sure Josie will always remember.

Below are a few pictures from her special day!
