It's the last day of school for our kids and I must say that I am very thankful for a couple of reasons; the kids have had an amazing year and the best teachers in the world. Josie and Will have grown both in size and in educational experience. Josie became a reader this year, she's our little bookworm and Will developed a love for learning. We are blessed, both of our children are bright and love to learn. Now onto my yearly end of the year interviews:
Josie's interview:
1. What was the best part about being a third grader? "I think the best part was getting to go out to recess before everyone else and also the first lunch because the floors were clean oh and making new friends."
2. Who was your teacher? Mrs. White
What did you like about her? "I liked Mrs. White because if you were stuck on something she wouldn't go onto the next thing and leave us behind. She helped me when it was my first time doing long division."
3. What was your favorite subject this year? reading and math
Least favorite? writing
4. What new things did you try this year? "long division and I learned how to play Ode to Joy on the recorder and that's a black belt song."
5. Who was your favorite classmate this year? Maddy
6. What was your favorite thing to eat in the cafeteria? cheese pizza sticks
Pack from home? salad
7. What are you looking forward to doing this summer? "I'm looking forward to trying to win some first place ribbons in swim meets or second or third place."
8. What are your goals for fourth grade? "My goals for fourth grade is going to be trying to be a better writer."
How will you do this? practice spelling words
Will's interview:
1. Were you scared your first day of school? yes
Why? "Because I didn't know anybody."
2. What was your favorite part of kindergarten? "We got to go outside and play on the playground and play with chalk and we made crafts."
I also liked writing. Least favorite? nothing
3. What is your favorite special? gym and music Favorite snack? Smartfood
4. Who was your favorite friend? Logan Mains
5. What was your teachers name? Mrs. Schueck
What did you like about her? She does crafts with us and she takes us to specials.
6. What are you looking forward to doing this summer? Going to the beach
7. Are you excited about going to first grade next year? yes
What are you excited about? "Writing, I'm going to write a lot. Sometimes I can't think of a sentence."
