With a saw and a wagon fit for a tree we headed out into the Pine Brook Hollow tree farm in search of the perfect Christmas tree. The weather was frigid and we were all bundled up hoping to find it before our noses froze off. Will pulled the wagon all by himself and Josie kept a look out for the prettiest tree she could find. After about 20 minutes of searching we found the tree for our family. A 7 foot 3 inch 6 year old Douglas Fir. The kids helped Ernie saw her down and yelled timber as she fell to the ground. We put our tree onto the wagon and brought our tree back to the cabin where the helpers shook it and wrapped it. While we waited we enjoyed hot chocolate and their Christmas band. It was a perfect, memorable adventure to add to our 2010 list.
Later, we got our tree home, put it in the stand, strung the lights and decorated our tree. Here's a few pictures of our tree....
