Minecraft and a Marathon

Spring means birthdays around our house...

Will turned nine this year and it was an "epic," party Minecraft-style.  We had a blast planning his party and I was schooled in everything Minecraft by both kids.  We were happy to host the evening in our backyard and the kids had so much fun exploring the yard in search of treasures hidden by Ernie, tearing down the creeper and shooting Josie's bow and arrow into the Minecraft creeper AKA bad guy!  Here's a few memories from the night!

I also did my first quarter marathon...if anyone is wondering what the heck that is well it's a little more than a 10K and half of a half marathon!!  It was so much fun to run through the streets of downtown Columbus with my running group peeps from Fleet Feet.   I start training with the MIT (marathoners in training) group in June and I'm thinking about doing a half this fall.  First up a tri in June after we get back from our sailing trip.  I'm planning on practicing my open water swimming while we are in the keys!  It should take swimming with dolphins to a whole new level.
