"Theo and Cleo sharing a pillow."
Our trip started out a little soggy, but the last two days were cool and sunny. We enjoyed a trip to Mimi and Papi's favorite "cheap" movie and saw "Up." Everyone young and older enjoyed the flick about two men in search of their dream. The kids and Papi also took a trip down to the creek by their house and the kids built a bridge and made mud pies. It was a fun adventure for the kids and Papi.
Ernie and I went out for a lunch date to Chipotle and REI and got to see a few of my fellow co-workers and also visited the Subaru-REI event. It was nice to see all the same faces at REI and check out the latest and greatest gear.
We finished our weekend with a trip into DC to visit the National Archives building. We enjoyed showing the kids all the really old documents that are stored in this amazing building. Ernie's dad helped with the renovation of the building back in 2001 and was there when the September 11 attacks happened.

We enjoy living close to family and the kids are always very excited to take a trip to see their grandparents, great-grandmother and Aunties. Josie and Will talk for weeks about how much fun they had, and are always asking when can we go back? Thanks for an unforgettable, fun-filled Fall weekend.
