~LATER UTAH~

I've often compared living in "the happy valley," to well not being able to wake-up from a bad dream. Utah is too far from family, too cold (snow in May), too dry, too west, too strange and too judgemental. Don't get me wrong we have some really cool friends out here, and we are very blessed to have them. We are sad to leave behind great friendships, but look forward to keeping it touch with our Utah friends.

But what I guess I'm trying to say is well the Carcamo's are packing up and leaving Utah...yes after two years we are finally heading where we have always thought home should be...back east.

What is our plan...

Ernie is attending the Service Academy Career conference on May 8-9 in Washington, D.C. There he will meet with as many companies as he can and from that we are hoping he will find a good job that will re-locate us back to the VA or NC areas.

We plan to leave Utah on June 1 and take about four days to drive across the country. We are looking forward to seeing the Rocky Mountains in our rear view mirror as we drive across this beautiful country. We will dodge polygamous compounds and Nebraska corn fields as we trek across Wyoming,Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

It will be our fourth move in nine years and Callie's (our beloved dog) 7th trek across the U.S. She's been preparing our 1 year-old cat Cleo on the adventures of a long car trip with two kids.
Even though it will be a 2,103 mile journey we always view these road trips as nothing but an adventure.

Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers over the next month as we sell our home, change jobs, explorer a new hometown and travel across the U.S. with two kids, a travelwise dog and a scaredy cat.
