The kids and I decided it was time to head into D.C. since it's just a quick 20 minute drive (non-rush hour) we did just that...literally hopped in the car and went down. Now it's been a few years (10) since I lived in D.C. so I had to bring along the GPS to get us to Union Station for parking. I don't know what I ever did before my trusty GPS. We parked at Union Station and headed down to the metro station to take a train to the Smithsonian's. We went to the National Museum of Natural History first and checked out all the dinosaurs and then the insects...very cool exhibits. Then we headed over to the National Air and Space Museum to check out the airplanes and space stuff. The kids loved every minute of it...I will post a few pictures for you all to see.
We are so lucky...we are so close to so much history and culture.

A 20 minute drive.... Wow!! That's amazing. We are in Sun River Oregon right now it is beautiful.. Anyway, I will talk to you soon. Tell your family hello..
